Scarlet Letter

The Phoenix Fighters are joined by a sagely Hylian warrior named Michael.  An Ebene officer brings a few shapeshifters with her to the House and attacks Sito.  Rinault races to the rescue, but arrives too late as he witnesses Sito’s abduction.  The Ebene leave a note behind by Cirrus, saying he’s going to take away everyone that Rinault cares about.  Rinault races downstairs and tells Mia of the news, saying that she is Cirrus’s next target and that she needs to go into hiding.  Mia becomes hysterical, and as Rinault attempts to calm her down, he tries to take advantage of her, frightening her more.  Mia runs off as Jesse arrives at the scene, locking Rin in the cage downstairs.

At the stronghold, the Ebene torture Sito until Klein arrives and joins in for a little bit.  He then injects an enchanted liquid into Sito, causing him to pass out.  When Sito wakes up, he attempts to escape, but Klein pushes him against the wall, drawing a black ”K” on Sito’s forehead.  He then heals Sito’s wounds, opens up a portal, and sends him back to the House.

Rinault, meanwhile, is acting like a madman while trying to get out of the cage.  Phinney scolds Jesse for locking him up, but after hearing that it was Rinault’s fault that Sito was kidnapped, Phinney starts yelling at him too.  Once Rinault calms down, Sito arrives through a portal, alive and well.  He begins to randomly insult people in the House against his will, causing more than a few scenes.

Casey scans Sito’s forehead and announces that there’s nothing abnormal about it, saying it’s reading as a mole.  Klein then suddenly appears, checking to see how his invention is working out.  Phinney rushes to the rescue as Casey rushes behind the counter to hide.  Phinney fights Klein and injures him, forcing him to reveal the way to remove the mark on Sito’s forehead.  Klein hands Sito a bag of powder, telling him to mix it in lukewarm water and wash his forehead with it three times.  He then disappears.

With Ana’s permission, Casey mixes the solution up for Sito.  Sito takes it and goes into the kitchen.  After a few minutes, a loud scream is heard from there and Phinney, Adriana, and Casey rush in to see Sito sitting on the floor with all of the injuries he acquired during his torture sessions. Zetzica then appears, telling the Phoenix Fighters that Klein put that the mark on Sito’s forehead masked all of his injuries. Once it was removed, they reappeared. She also announces that Sito can’t be healed by magic.  Before she can cause any further trouble, however, she is chased away by Casey’s phase inhibiting net.  Sito begins the healing process and while the rest of the House wonder at Rinault’s strange reactions to the Ebene officer who kidnapped Sito in the first place.
